This policy explains how 3CK handles personal information collected through
this website, 3ck.com.au. We have written it in plain English. If anything here
is unclear, email us at hello@3ck.com.au.
In this policy, “3CK”, “we” and “us” mean 3CK Impact (ABN 59 294 925 400). 3CK is our trading brand.
1. What this policy covers — and what it doesn’t
This policy covers visitors to this website: people who browse our pages or send us an enquiry.
It does not cover donors who give through a Donation Engine we have built for a charity. That donor information belongs to the charity, is held in the charity’s own systems and payment account, and is governed by that charity’s privacy policy. We act as the charity’s service provider, under contract, in relation to that information.
2. What we collect
- Information you give us. When you complete our enquiry form we collect your name, organisation, email address, and optionally your phone number, your current website address, and what you are interested in.
- Information collected automatically. Standard web-server information (such as your IP address, browser type, pages visited and time of visit), and behavioural analytics as described in section 3.
We do not collect sensitive information (such as health information) through this website, and we never collect payment-card details on this website.
3. Analytics and cookies
We use the following tools to understand how this website is used, so we can improve it:
- Microsoft Clarity. Clarity records how visitors interact with our pages (for example mouse movement, scrolling, clicks, and session replays) to show us where the site is confusing. Clarity is provided by Microsoft, and the information it collects is processed and stored by Microsoft, including in the United States. We configure Clarity to mask text you type into form fields. See Microsoft’s privacy statement.
- Google Analytics. Where enabled, Google Analytics gives us aggregate statistics about visits to this site. It is provided by Google and the information it collects may be processed and stored overseas, including in the United States.
- Cookies. These tools set cookies or similar identifiers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you using this website.
We do not use these overseas analytics tools on our clients’ donation pages or in our client portal. Donor and client information stays in Australia (see section 5).
4. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a call.
- To provide, and later to improve, our services.
- To send you information you have asked for. You can opt out at any time.
- To meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not trade or rent our enquiry list.
5. Where information is stored
Information we hold on behalf of our charity clients — including donor records — is stored in Australia, in a database located in Sydney. We do not host that information offshore, and we do not send donor or behavioural data from donation pages to overseas analytics providers.
Information collected through this website (our enquiry form and the analytics tools in section 3) may be stored by the providers named above, including in the United States.
6. Access from outside Australia
3CK is a small, founder-led team. Our people work both in Australia and overseas (currently Taiwan), and may access information — including information we hold for our charity clients — from outside Australia in order to deliver and support our services.
Where that happens, the information itself remains hosted in Australia; it is accessed remotely under confidentiality and security obligations, and is not transferred to, or stored in, another country by us. We tell our clients this plainly, and it is recorded in our client agreements, so that they can meet their own privacy obligations.
7. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with:
- service providers who help us run our business (for example our website host, email provider, and the analytics providers named in section 3), under contract;
- a charity client, where you have asked us to introduce you or the information relates to work we do for them; and
- anyone else where you have consented, or where we are required or authorised by law.
8. Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access — including encrypted connections, access controls, and keeping payment-card data entirely outside our systems (card details are handled by our clients’ payment provider, never by us). No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep enquiry information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it.
9. Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong, by emailing hello@3ck.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable time. We may need to verify your identity first.
10. Complaints
If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please tell us first at hello@3ck.com.au so we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make a significant change, we will make that clear on this page.
